DON LOPE HOUSE

“Ideas competition for remodelling “Don Lope House” to turn it into a Museum”
The origin of museums is found in collecting and illustration, places almost SACRED and symbols of people’s cultural identity. Today, museums have a double responsibility: to preserve the integrity of the “object” as an element of our cultural heritage and to contribute to the EVOLUTION OF SOCIETY, which must be done through an educational mission. The museum will only fulfill its SOCIAL MISSION when presenting its collections so that visitors can recognize themselves in them and arouse their curiosity, admiration and desire to know.
The proposal includes ingredients a museum must have:

EMOTION | PROCESS | COMPLEXITY | VISUALIZATION | GIFT | COPY | INFORMAL | COMMUNICATIVO | CREATIVE | POPULAR | INCONFORMISTA | INNOVATION.
The functional structure of a museum is based on the analysis of user’s experience as they enjoy the museum.
> EDUCATION: learning, schools, students.
> LEISURE: tourism, enjoying the afternoon, having a coffee.
> STUDY: researchers, historians, artists.
> PROFESSIONAL: curator, scientist, museum staff.
