FINAL RESEARCH PROJECT

FINAL RESEARCH PROJECT

Performing Arts School in Ciudad Universitaria, Madrid.

This final research project presents a very personal attitude in the debate of contemporary architecture. It adopts a position of last School exercise where the dedication to a formal and Architectural research is possible, and where the interest and position in front of this debate is the space exploration proposed to be debated.

The project joins Architecture and Music relationship at a spatial level, creating generating spaces situations that the scenic world will be responsible for building with their own means and assemblies.

A space is created that accommodates any scenic situation (conferences, classic work, meeting place …), adapting to the technical needs of that situation, considering that in most cases it will be a place to walk around or a students meeting point, (an inner square whose visual and physical communication with the rest of spaces is total) both in the stalls and in boxes where there is no representation.

3 situations are analyzed: musical piece | theatral piece | meeting point

The project’s inspiration is based on the Joh Cage’s composition 4’3”, “Foam of the days”, by Boris Vian and Renzo Piano’s “Prometeo” scene, by Luigi Nono
