“Active Guadua: a Training and Vocational School”

“Active Guadua” proposes an alternative model of sustainable urban development at a territorial level, based on the use of local resources (guadua) to achieve a self-sustaining territorial-city, starting from productive rural towns.

It is a project that links with the activity that PEI has been carrying out in Palomino since 2009; together with groups such as Zuloark and Zoohaus, based on social and technological innovation and the creation of networks. It has been recognized by the VIII BIAU.

Palomino Training and Vocational School seeks, through training in traditional trades, graduates to be an example of building a culture of peace, consolidating spaces for co-existence, as well as creating a productive environment that guarantees access to the market work and its permanence in the village.
