Madrid’s Council Pavilion competition “Book Fair”
“….. Freedom, Prosperity and social and individual development are key human values which can only be achieved by skilled citizens who fight for their democratic rights and play an active role in society. The participation and consolidation of democracy depend on both a satisfactory education and free and unlimited access to knowledge, thought, culture and information …. “
Manifesto of IFLA / UNESCO.1994.
Our proposal invites citizens to actively participate in the image of the pavilion through their personal reading experience, representing different desirable places of reading in the daily life:
– desirable places for reading in NATURE.
– desirable places for reading in PUBLIC SPACES.
– desirable places for reading at HOME.
The project aims to be a speaker that visualizes the importance of reading in our daily life.
